


Dr. William Hayes is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons as well as the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Hayes is a Texas A&M Former Student, Honors graduate of University of Texas Health Science Center -- SA, as well as, the University of New Mexico Orthopaedics Residency Program. He was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Hayes performed the first cartilage transplant in Houston. He has modified arthroscopic techniques in the knee to include minimally invasive ACL reconstruction. His special interests include disorders of the shoulder, ranging from pain in an overhead athlete to the rotator cuff deficient shoulder in the elderly.
Dr. Hayes serves as volunteer faculty for Conroe Family Practice Residency, training physicians in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports injuries. He continues to participate as teaching faculty for AANA, teaching other orthopaedic surgeons arthroscopic techniques. He serves as team physician for many local high schools. Dr. Hayes is also a consultant to USA Soccer and USA Gymnastics.
Dr. Hayes and his wife Denise have lived in the Woodlands since 1997. They have two children, Maddie and Peyton, both excellent golfers. The whole family enjoys skiing, mountain biking and golf.

Dr. Keith Johnson is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and fellowship-trained in
arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee, ankle, and shoulder and in treatment
of athletic injuries. He was previously affiliated with the men's U.S. national Soccer
team, Chivas U.S.A. Major League Soccer team, and the Pepperdine University athletic
program.
He graduated with honors from the Boston University School of Medicine and was elected
into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his orthopaedic surgery
residency training at the University of Southern California, where he was the recipient of
multiple distinguished awards.
Dr. Johnson and his wife, Rebecca, have two beautiful children: Luke and Megan.
Both Drs Hayes and Johnson were fellows in the Santa Monica Orthopaedic Group
Fellowship Program. The ACGME program is one of the most highly respected Sports
Medicine Fellowship programs in the country. The physicians in the Fellowship program
serve as team doctors for USA Soccer.

Dr. Robert A. Launikitis, a native Texan, hails from the North Houston area. He received
his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston with high
honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He
continued at UTMB Galveston to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery where
he received numerous awards for academic achievement and excellence in teaching.
Prior to joining Dr. Hayes and Dr. Johnson at Sterling Ridge Orthopedic and Sports
Medicine, he completed the Joseph H Boyes Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at the
University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Launikitis is strongly committed to surgical excellence and exceptional patient care.
As both a hand surgery specialist and an orthopaedic surgeon, he brings the newest and
most advanced surgical procedures available to treat the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder
plus the latest techniques in total and partial knee replacement. With the addition of Dr.
Launikitis, Sterling Ridge Orthopedic and Sports Medicine can provide his expertise to
patients including minimally invasive endoscopic carpal tunnel release, wrist and elbow
arthoscopy and joint replacement of the small joints of the thumb and fingers.
Dr. Launikitis joined The Woodlands practice in August, 2009.
