Piper Umbra, PTA
Piper is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Piper is originally from upstate New York where she completed her high school and college education. She attended Herkimer County Community College graduating in May 2019, completing the Physical Therapist Assistant program with an Associates in Applied Science. Following her college graduation, she started her career at her local hospital and outpatient clinic. She worked closely with her fellow PT’s and OT’s in both settings. During this time, she became certified in the McKenzie Method part A and B.
In April of 2022, Piper pursued one of her goals she set in life by moving out of New York State choosing Montgomery, Texas with her extended family. Since her move, she has been able to further her experience in the Physical Therapy field with pediatrics followed by spinal care. Here, she worked with experienced Chiropractors learning the best way to treat varying degrees of spinal injuries. She also spent a year and a half in the aquatic setting treating the spine and other special cases. Two of which taught her the true definition of resilience.
In November of 2025, Piper joined the SROSM team with a goal of shifting her focus to a more Sports Medicine based practice. She has a particular interest in hip and knee related injuries but loves and openly embraces any challenge that is given to her. As a multi-sport athlete growing up she is also interested in helping Athletes safely return to sports following any injury, whether it be the upper or lower extremity or the spine. Outside of the clinic, Piper can be found enjoying the warm weather, singing at a country concert, reading a book, or on FaceTime with her nieces and nephews in NY.
