Why patients choose Dr. Johnson
That perspective shapes every visit. Dr. Johnson believes a patient should leave the clinic understanding the diagnosis, the options, and the plan — not just holding a follow-up date. Education is part of the treatment. When patients understand what is wrong and why a given approach is right for them, they recover with more confidence and get back to what they love sooner.
Two decades in orthopaedics have also given him a clear picture of what excellent sports medicine looks like — and what it doesn't. He has spent his career refining that standard so that every patient gets it: the level of care a professional athlete expects, available to student athletes, weekend warriors, masters competitors, and anyone who simply wants to keep moving.
His practice centers on arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. He recommends surgery when it is the right answer, aggressive non-surgical care when that works better, and builds recovery plans with the rehab team down the hall — so the question every injured athlete actually has, when can I get back?, gets a plan instead of a shrug.
